5.21-22.2016. It was an overnight weekend, planned to watch the sunset, the stars and eventually to wake up to the sunrise. But sadly we weren’t able to see those because of the gloomy weather…but we were able to enjoy what was mother nature given to us during our weekend stay.
Lake Apo is located at Guinoyuran Valencia Bukidnon. It’s a 4-hour land trip from Cagayan de Oro City. We left CDO around 8 in the morning of Saturday and arrived at Valencia lunchtime. We took our lunch at the City and grab some groceries for our dinner and breakfast the morning after. We were able to rent a house near the lake. When we arrived, it’s a typical neighborhood just like my place in Balingasag. People are friendly and accommodating. After we settled in our things we decided to went straight to the lake, but we weren’t able to witness the sunset as it became gloomy in the afternoon. Seems like the rain will drop anytime. True enough after a few pictures on the lake we head back to the house as it already starts raining. We decided to take some nap for the rest of the afternoon praying that the rain would stop so we could stay until wee hours in the lakeside.
Welcome to Lake Apo! 🙂
Hello Freedom! It’s kinda gloomy but the place is so peace and quiet.
A perfect place to just set back and relax.
Day 1 is over, we planned to go back at night and do some star gazing, but sad to say the weather did not cooperate at all, so we’re stuck at the house, did a few bottle of beer and then go to bed past 10pm hoping that the weather will be good on the 2nd day so we can do more activities at the lake.
Day 2: Lake Apo bathe with a bright blue sky
I woke up at around 6am and saw this one. Still gloomy but end up 15 minutes to just feast my eyes with the color of the sky. Beautiful isn’t it?
…and then this happens… LOVING EVERY SECONDS WATCHING IT!
…and here comes the promise of a better day ahead!
Perfect spot for some deep thinking…It was a lovely morning in so many counts.
…and yes the place is romantic, perfect for proposal. You can bring your girl at the middle of the lake and pop up the question. Consider this place guys. 🙂
We head back to the house for some coffee and breakfast and then change for a swim.
Finally… we saw the sky light up! This will be fun!
And we’re moving!
But wait.. let me feast my eyes with mother nature… 🙂
…whew time for a dip!
…because when you stop and look around… LIFE indeed is AMAZING. #SquadGoals
Once in awhile go somewhere you’ve never been! #Blessed #Loved #Favored
…and we reached the end of the lake! Oh how time flies. 🙂
That was truly a much-needed rest for us. Apart from the long ride, it was all worth it. We really do plan to go back, and hopefully,, by that time, we will be able to catch the stars, be able to watch both sunrise and sundown! Until my next trip guys! Please watch the video below. Enjoy!
Thank you very much CJ Tagupa for some of the pictures and the video! 🙂
